New Zealand Parrot

Just added a picture in my wild life section of a Kea - a New Zealand Parrot. They are incredibly intelligent. About 20 years ago I was filming in the South island at Mount Cook Village and two students from Austria were there studying Keas. They had devised an experiment which was a cage with a sliding dish. The dish could be pulled by a piece of rope and if done food would appear on the other side. In order to get the food two Keas had to help each other, one pulling the rope and the other eating the food. The Keas sussed it out and took it in turns to pull the rope and eat the food!
